Our Founder Story

We Stand for More Than Just Game-Changing Teamwear

(But yeah, we do that too.)

Hey! We’re Grainne McGuire and Sophia Grego, co-founders of Kiana Sportswear.

One Irish athlete. One American athlete. One big problem: women’s teamwear wasn’t made for women. We met playing Gaelic football and Camogie in San Diego and quickly realized we were both frustrated with the lack of real options for female athletes. So, we decided to fix it.

Kiana comes from the Irish word Ceanna, meaning ‘same’ or ‘equal’, because that’s what we’re here to do: level the playing field for women’s sportswear.

We believe every female athlete, whether you’re scoring the game-winner or showing up for your first practice, deserves gear that fits, performs, and makes you feel unstoppable.

Because why should guys have all the best gear? Let’s change the game.

What Kiana is All About

Empowerment

Every woman’s an athlete. We’re here to make sure you feel like one, because confidence is everything.

Inclusivity

Bodies come in all shapes and sizes and your sportswear should too. No one-size-fits-all nonsense.

Innovation

Old-school teamwear? Outdated. We’re constantly designing better fits, better fabrics, and better performance gear for women.

Comfort

We make gear so comfortable, you’ll forget you’re wearing it.  No pinching, no bunching, no distractions… just gear that moves with you.

Integrity

We keep it real. No cutting corners, no compromises—just the best for female athletes. Always.
